Virtual Event Platform

When the pandemic hit, our team tirelessly worked to adapt to the new normal. As a result, our very own virtual event platform, MICEverse, was born. Inspired by the metaverse, albeit simpler, the platform was created to mimic a physical event space that people are familiar with, to allow them to meet and attend events online in a safe manner, with no physical boundaries. The familiarity with the space makes the experience seamless and enjoyable for the event attendees.

MICEverse has highly customisable features and virtual environments to suit every unique event. Here are some of the features:

3D Lobby to Simulate a Physical Event Space

Just like entering a physical convention centre, the 3D Lobby gives a familiar feel to a virtual space.

Virtual Exhibition Booths

The exhibition booths allow exhibitors, employers, and partners to display on-demand videos, e-brochures, and posters. Like in-person exhibitions, the virtual booths also allow one-to-one meetings or interviews, via video teleconferencing, as well as real-time communication via a live chat widget.

Virtual Auditorium

The customisable virtual auditorium can run popular webinar software such as Zoom. Livestream videos such as YouTube Live and Vimeo can also be integrated. It has options for live chat and reactions as well.

Breakout Rooms

Concurrent breakout rooms functionality with access control and attendance is perfect for scientific, academic, and large conferences.

Fringe & Pre-event Activities

No event is complete without fringe activities to keep the participants engaged or to educate them. While it’s easy to do for physical events, it’s harder to keep the participants engage when everyone is joining in remotely. The platform provides options such as virtual photo booth, appreciation boards, augmented reality (AR) photo booth, personality test, surveys, and digital goodie bags.

Video Teleconferencing

Our team has helped numerous clients to manage their virtual events held on common video teleconferencing platforms such as Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams. We manage the registration, running of the programme, emcee, access, participants, and technical aspects so that our clients can sit back and enjoy the show.

Livestream Events

Our team has the expertise to shoot and stream an event live from a studio setting or from the client’s venue of choice. The livestream will be processed through vMix or Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and can be sent to all major livestream platforms such as Facebook Live, YouTube Live, Vimeo, Zoom, and Amazon IVS.

The 5th TCTF-NTU Advanced Leadership Development Forum
The Forum, hosted by Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA), was held online on 12 and 13 March 2021. It featured keynote speeches by academic leaders of well-known universities from China and Singapore sharing their insights on the practice and thinking of technological innovation and talent nurturing from universities’ perspective and analysing the interdependent and mutually reinforcing relationship between the two. It also featured business leaders who spoke on the supply and demand of talent training from the other end of the talent chain. Hydse successfully managed the virtual event, which involved international speakers, covering all aspects including design, technical support, and provision of equipment.
National Day Awards Investiture 2020
MOH National Day Awards Investiture are held annually to recognise individuals for their many years of outstanding contributions and dedicated service to Singapore. A total of 618 officers from the Healthcare Family were honoured with National Day Awards in 2020. This was held in 2021, due to COVID-19. The event was held virtually across 3 sessions for the first time and was graced by Minister for Health, Mr Ong Ye Kung and Second Minister for Health, Mr Masagos Zulkifli respectively. Hydse conceptualised, designed and provided a virtual platform for the screening of the ceremony as well as a virtual photobooth for guests to take photos as an event memento and a message board to leave award recipients a congratulatory note.
Our Army Women’s Career iFair 2021 (June)
This 3-day Army virtual women’s career fair showcased a wide array of career opportunities, vocations and sponsorships available, in the Army, to women. Keen applicants were able to enquire about their their preferred vocations and schemes and attend interviews virtually. Instead of physical booths, the event platform put up 16 virtual booths which featured e-posters, brochures and videos for viewing. There was also a talk show where soldiers shared their career experiences for the benefit of the participants. The team created a personality test – that recommends suitable vocations – and an online family forum to further engage and educate the visitors. In total that were more than 2000 participants over the duration of the event. Hydse conceptualised, customised and developed an interactive virtual event platform, integrating video conferencing and live chat for general enquiries and interview sessions by the ARC. With that, it led to the successful execution of the virtual career fair. The team also managed the talk show webinar and produced the family forum interview videos.
Our Army Career iFair 2021 (Dec)
This was the 4th time in 2 years, Hydse worked with the Army Recruitment Centre (ARC) to hold a virtual career fair. Held over 2 days, the event showcased a wide array of career opportunities, vocations and sponsorships to members of the public. Keen applicants were able to enquire about their their preferred vocations and schemes and attend interviews virtually. Instead of physical booths, the event platform put up 16 virtual booths which featured e-posters, brochures and videos for viewing. HDB Service Recognition Award 2021
The HDB Service Recognition Award 2021 is aimed at recognising those who have been in the service for a significant number of years. With the existing C0VID-19 restrictions, the event had to be held in a hybrid manner. While the event proceedings were held physically, in front of an in-person audience of 30 award recipients, the rest of the 800 attendees watched and participated online, through the event’s custom virtual platform – which simulated the experience of attending a physical event. There were virtual augmented reality (AR) photo booths, appreciation boards, and fun quizzes to make the presence of all the participants felt. A video featuring the participants was also produced to provide some heartfelt soundbites and lend a human touch to the event. Hydse developed the virtual event platform and the AR photo booth, provided turnkey project management, produced the required videos, and managed the virtual and physical aspects of the event.
16th Meeting of the Asian-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry
This scientific conference, held on 13 and 14 December 2021, featured 12 curated symposia on a variety of hot topics. There were also 4 young investigator colloquia, 4 free oral communications and poster presentations. The virtual conference was attended by more than 300 international participants, who thoroughly enjoyed the 2-day online gathering where they shared knowledge and networked, in spite of worldwide travel restrictions. There was also an exhibition put up by the sponsors. Hydse conceptualised and developed the virtual event platform, set up the registration and abstract submission forms, and managed the virtual conference on behalf of the committee.
